Reading of the Month – February 2026

Neither Yesterday nor Tomorrow; Live for Today, With Discipline.

It is important to live each day with full attention, seeking to carry out all activities in an organized and disciplined manner. When one adopts this way of conducting life, there is no reason for complaints or annoyances to arise. Many people feel this way precisely because they do not plan their day or keep their thoughts excessively focused on the future or the past.

Lack of attention to what one does generates an accumulation of mental anxieties, because the absence of objectives makes the execution of tasks slower.

The same occurs with the problems and challenges of daily life: by postponing them, instead of facing them, one prolongs anguish and suffering. It is necessary to concentrate on finding the appropriate solution, even if it is not exactly the desired one, but rather the one that effectively resolves the situation.

For this reason, it is fundamental to value every day. As we said, many people live trapped in memories or projected onto expectations of the future and forget the present moment, which makes them feel they have no time for anything. Thus, life seems short because time is not used consciously to accomplish what is necessary, acquire new knowledge, and achieve a more peaceful existence.

Christian Rationalism offers accessible guidance that, when applied, reveals that life is simpler than it seems, because it is human beings themselves who make it complicated. Many fail to value what is essential and allow themselves to become involved in situations that do not bring them inner fulfillment, without realizing that the responsibility for this lies solely with them. Each one must turn to themselves, seeking to understand their own nature, in order to act consciously and balanced.

Inner reflection is essential for life to be filled with moments of joy and relaxation, and not just worries and sadness. Many people get lost in criticism and lamentations – about the behavior of others, about social injustices, or about urban violence – and end up wasting valuable time that could be used productively.

Self-knowledge makes it possible to reorganize one’s own conduct and introduce discipline into one’s way of life.

Therefore, dear Christian Rationalists, follow the guidance given and put the teachings received into practice, so that you can enjoy a more serene and balanced life.
