Discipline Is Essential to Life and Depends on Spirituality
Having a balanced life means having discipline in life. Many people have indiscipline rooted within themselves and cannot get rid of this bad conduct from one moment to the next, which is somewhat understandable for several reasons, including the lack of knowledge of spirituality. But, they can change their attitude.
Disciplining the hours when one goes to bed and gets up, eats, does daily bodily and mental hygiene with the practice of psychic cleansing after bathing, is of fundamental importance. This change can be made little by little, as long as there is determination and willingness to do it.
Everyone wants to be healthy and happy, maintain harmony in the family, at work and in the social environment, and achieve happiness. However, it is rare for people to notice that physical and spiritual well-being is dependent on disciplined living. Therefore, it is necessary to observe the lives of disciplined people, as they have a method and schedule for everything.
Many people live just to live. Because they don’t care about discipline, they are always full of problems. Certainly, they find it difficult to change conduct or don’t even want to know about it. But if something is not going well in the way one acts, why not change habits?
Change can start, for example, with the discipline of thoughts expressed in words, because the way of speaking often insults and hurts listeners or does not transmit teachings in an orderly manner, hurting the soul of those who listen or making understanding difficult for those who study.
When we talk about discipline in Christian Rationalism, many people think that we are referring to military discipline, based on the fundamental and necessary principle of hierarchy. But that is not the case. The discipline we recommend is one that leads to spiritual growth, always associated with study and reasoning, as well as that which involves honest and productive work, which guarantees material progress at all times.
In this case, it is important that people have discipline in thoughts, common sense in actions and harmony in relationships, in which good humor and unwavering willingness to achieve intended results prevail, without which they will not move towards spiritual improvement and balanced material progress that follows.
Therefore, living effectively requires physical health and psychic balance, it requires discipline and method, so that there is individual and collective improvement. This is the understanding of life that Christian Rationalism proposes to those who study spirituality.
